Step 1: A designer works with you to decide every floral detail of your special day. The designer will come back to you with a plan including your stem count, ingredients and flower sourcing for everything you need for each arrangement.
Step 2: You can either pay the designer at their hourly rate to put in all of the orders and you can reimburse Homegrown Florals for the hard costs of the flowers, or you can order the flowers yourself. Unless you are only ordering from Costco or have access to another wholesale seller or flower source you will need to have the designer put in the order so they can get the wholesale prices.
Step 3*: The flowers are delivered to/picked up by you or you or a loved one and you safely store the flowers until its time to arrange. You will receive detailed instructions on how to safely store your flowers so they're in great shape for your big day!
Step 4*: Host your "Flower Party" with friends and family helpers or leave it all to your designer! The designer will come to a location that you have prepared for putting together all of your arrangements. You provide a large surface for arranging--this can just be your kitchen table! (Some folding tables will be necessary for several arrangements.) You will provide the space and clean up for your flowers before and after design. You can also save by providing your own vessels/vases. All other basic materials needed for arranging such as sheers, floral wire/tape, flower foam etc. will be provided for you and covered by a modest, flat materials fee. If you choose to have friends come help, the designer will "pass off" each arrangement made by anyone else. Every arrangement will have a specific "recipe" (stem count and ingredient list) to make the process quick, easy and fun for you and your friends or family helpers!
Step 5*: Store your completed flower arrangements and work with your wedding party and friends or family to help deliver the flowers to your venue(s) on the big day. The designer will provide guidance for safely storing and delivering your floral arrangements but is not responsible for them after they are passed off.
Note*: If you aren't comfortable storing, hosting a flower party or delivering the flowers before arranging see the Add-on services option below if you want some extra help! For a more traditional experience you can learn more about the full service option HERE.
1) Preparation and Planning:
The time needed to figure out style, color scheme, ingredients and, stem counts for each arrangement
Finding flower sources and ordering your flowers
2) Floral Design and Consultation:
I will personally arrange your most important pieces, provide detailed instruction to your "helpers" on how to make their bridesmaid bouquets and/or help with table arrangements if needed and make final touches to every piece.
Note: If you aren't comfortable storing, hosting a flower party or delivering the flowers before arranging see the Add-on services option below or the full service option! A la cart arrangements are always available as well.
Fees:
Deposit: $100
Hourly design rate: $60
Flat materials fee: $30
Because of how special the bridal bouquet is, it will be for purchase on an a la cart basis only to make sure it is given all of the time and attention it needs at a separate time. If I only need to bring the bouquet (or any other a la cart items) with me to your "flower party" the delivery fee will be waived. See bridal bouquet estimates here.
If you decide to do an installation piece at the wedding venue (eg. A flower arch, flower chandelier, table spray etc.), as long as you deliver the necessary flowers and materials not included in the base materials fee (such as the arch or chandelier structure) I will not charge a delivery fee and arrangements on site will be just be billed on an hourly basis only. See details on flower arch here [link] for more details and estimates.
If it's important to your budget to limit the time spent on design (say, you can only afford 5 hours of my service) I will do everything I can do complete what's needed but I will follow your direction and will not be responsible for any arrangements I did not "pass off." The "recipes" for each piece are yours to keep for your wedding event (it is not acceptable to share the document with others for other events) if you want to complete some on your own.
If you would like to pay for my consultation services in estimating flower count, helping you source and provide "recipes" for each arrangement without doing any design to your flowers in person I can do that for you.
VERY IMPORTANT: Please understand that under this option you are responsible for any damage or neglect to your flowers in the delivery, storage or final delivery to the venue. The designer holds no liability over the flowers because they belong to you, not the designer. If you follow guidance from the designer on proper storage and delivery you shouldn't run into any issues! And until the end of your wedding day, as per designer availability, we can help you if something comes up! For example, if someone in your wedding party accidentally left your arrangement in a hot car and it is no longer usable, if a designer is available last minute we'll try to help and you just pay at the hourly rate to be added to your final invoice.
Flowers are sourced by and delivered to the designer and space is provided for designing arrangements with OR without the help of bridal party "helpers". If you decide to have the designer do all arrangements this fee does not change and you will only be charged by the hour for however long your arrangements take.
The final arrangements are stored and delivered to the venue by the designer. If you host the design space but utilize this option you will not be charged anything additional for the designer to take the final arrangements for storage until the day of the event.
NOTE: delivery is subject to an additional $50 fee if it is more than 75 minutes from Salt Lake City, UT.
This option includes setting up all of the arrangements as directed by the client ahead of time, including any table sprays or runners, checking every arrangement to address any flowers damaged or shifted in transit, arranging flowers in wedding cake if desired, checking the bride's bouquet etc.
On site set up is a great insurance policy for any hiccups the day of. With this option for example, if someone in your wedding party accidentally left your arrangement in a hot car and it is no longer usable, the designer will only charge you for the hard cost of the replacement flowers with this add-on.
If you need more than the initial set up for the event, the designer can be available on call as your big day transitions between events. For example, if you need set up for the ceremony and set up for the reception and it is at the same venue, the cost would be the base $200 and includes all services in the initial set up for both transitions. If the ceremony and the reception are at different venues and delivery of the flowers between the venues is required there will be an additional delivery fee of $50 IF already paying the base rate for delivery. If the travel time between the ceremony and the reception is greater than 75 minutes, an additional $50 fee still applies.
